Today's walk report: 011319

Another fine walk, brought to you by...

Tagetes lemmonii.

Some sort of succulent.

Salvia microphylla 'Berzerkeley'.

The ever so reliable male Selasphorus sasin known as Rusty G. Alpha.

This white-crowned sparrow, along with a few others, was busily kicking at dead California bay (Umbellularia californica) leaves, exposing yummy insects.

and our favorite female Calypte anna hummingbird perched in her usual bush.

Meanwhile, on the way back home we spotted three members of the Condor Squadron flying over. These planes have been in a few walk reports over the years. They developed some newfound infamy back in October when one of them crashed his plane on the 101 freeway in nearby Agoura Hills.
