Today's walk report: 021223

Super Bowl Sunday, always a wonderful day to go for a nice peaceful walk. Just make sure to do so before the beer guzzling starts in your time zone.

This was another physical therapy walk for me. Walking is the best for my lumbago. Sitting in this chair is counterproductive, so I'm gonna be brief in my banter. Here are some pictures...

First of all, it's a gorgeous day.

This is male Calypte hummingbird, Dusty.

This is not Dusty.

Up on the hill, I had a difficult time with the lighting. It is what it is. The first two images are a turkey vulture (Cathartes aura) and the next four are a red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis).

That's it! Again, the point was to get out, get my circulation going and help out my lower lumbar--on that level the walk was a total success. Special, super-duper thanks to Docken for coming along over the phone.

Is there gas in the car?
Yes, there's gas in the car.

  1. Nature has a way of making us do stuff we don't really want to do and then saying, "I told you so". Ever so glad that you're feeling better. Pretty pictures of both Dusty and Not-Dusty; although perhaps he deserves a nicer name. The bigger birds are beautiful, too. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to share.
