Today's walk report: 050213

And the wind began to howl...

 Fanning fire and causing destruction. Santa Ana conditions today which are marked by strong, extremely dry offshore winds. This is a horrible picture shot with my point and shoot in sad shape and we're looking into a sun approaching dusk glare but anyway... you can see the smoke. That's spread out over 8,000 acres burned in Camarillo which is a city in Ventura County, CA. I'm about 30 miles away from that smoke.

This is something I grew up with here. The saddest thing is always when you find out the fire was either caused by someone's negligence or through arson. Imagine, I'm 30 miles away yet there is a hint of smoky smell in the air.
